We have had some really great services at the Women's Prison in Columbia. Several women have been saved and their lives have been changed through the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lakeview Women's Ministries for your contributions, support and participation in the great ministry. The Women's Ministries of Lakeview Church offer a variety of social and ministry events to minister to the needs of the church and to the needs of our community. We sponsor Family Day events for the entire family which include games, fun, and meals. We also sponsor services at The Myrtles Nursing Home once a month and occassional services at The Grove and at Columbia Rehab for those with special needs. We are also involved in ministering at the Marion-Walthal County Correctional Facility by donating personal items to inmates We began services at the Marion Walthal Correctional Facility to incarcerated women in November 2004 and have monthly services every 2nd Tuesday. Since our beginning there we have had several women saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. We contribute on a regular basis to the Marion County Food Pantry canned goods and monetary gifts. Ms. Peggy Hedgepeth is the President of the Womens Ministry and Mrs. Shannon Key is the Vice-President. Diane Gammill serves as the Secretary. These ladies along with all the other ladies of Lakeview, plan events to minister to the needs of the local church as well as to the community. A yearly Vacation Bible School event for our children is funded as well as other events and monthly contributions are given to the Church of God Home for Children. The Women's Ministries also raise money to help meet the financial need of special expenses of the church. Church membership is not a prerequisite for involvement.
